Opened wide

I wonder
What’s on the
Other side

Pick up the pace
And quicken
My stride

I wonder
What’s on the
Other side

Time is short
I
Must decide

I wonder
What’s on the

A colorful landscape
To tantalize
The eye

I wonder
What’s on the
Other side

An exotic place
In which
To reside

I wonder
What’s on the
Other side

I think
My time here
I will bide

Home and family
Are
On this side

At this particular life
Junction

What exactly
It was
That crushed his
Gumption

Turning his back
On
Societal
Compunction

Was it
But a lack of
Proper
Instruction

Or
Perhaps
Imbedded government
Corruption

What
Would it take to
Spark his
Production

Putting
An end to
Chronic
Dysfunction

Passersby scurry on
To
Highbrow
Functions

While resting
In the glow
Of
Conspicuous consumption

Content
To let them espouse
Unfounded
