Farewell January
It’s
Time to
Go
We’ve had our
Fill
Of ice and
Snow
Frostbitten
Noses
And frozen
Toes
Through
Dreary days
Our depression
Grows
You
Wonder why
You’re not
Beloved
We’re
Bored silly
With hats and
Gloves
Don’t hesitate
To
Take your
Leave
Don’t wait around
For us
To
Grieve

I laughed out loud at this one. So True – loved your verse. You hit it right on the head (so to speak) 🙂

Thanks. We have had not so much snow so far this winter, but way too much ice. It has been a nightmare.

You’re welcome. Sure sounds nightmarish. Ugh.

I too laughed and smiled. We’ve had an unusual January, 2 feet of snow, then torrential rain and 120 k winds so hmmm.

That sounds really odd. Makes our ice and snow sound minor!

It’s been an odd winter. The last two years we’ve had 2 to 4 ft of snow starting in December and lasting until mid Feb. This has been very strange.

Sounds most uncomfortable and dreary. And I love the photograph… the detail, the texture

Dreary it is…but we are to get a short break this weekend with some sun and warmer temps, before more snow early next week. Tis the season!

I must say I don’t like winter but it never gets that cold here, so I feel for you.

We are having more sunny days lately and that makes a huge difference, even if bitterly cold.
