One day I looked up In a Tree

A Sharp Shinned hawk I did See

Gazing Intently Back at Me

That Sharp Shinned’s eyes Said Leave me Be

One day A frog I did Spy

Carved of Stone With bulging Eyes

Cautiously I Passed it By

A bit Concerned I cannot Lie

That it might Leap High in the Sky

A single Tear It did then Cry

That frog of stone With Bulging Eyes

Confused And simply Wondering Why

I had not Stopped To just say Hi

Not born With heels and toes Transposed

Forward We are meant To go

Sunday Shadows

What’s Important To You May be Insignificant To Me

That we View the world Through our own Lenses Is Clear for all To See

One day Trees Will sprout Fresh green

The ice Will melt And free up Streams One day Trees Will sprout Fresh green

Daffodils and Tulips Will do Their thingOne day Trees Will sprout Fresh green

And In a wink It will be Spring
