  1. I have seen mumurations of starlings (in England) but never this number of geese at one time. We do get huge gaggles of snow geese – we are on the Pacific flyway – but when I have seen them they have been mostly on the ground eating every blade of grass in sight.

    • These are migratory Snow Geese. We just happened to stop at an area lake one day in spring and caught what turned out to be a record number. It was truly amazing.


    • There is a large lake, above which they were flying. They did settle there and I’m sure found food. Snow Geese just stop in our area in the spring to rest and refuel as they make their way along their migratory route.
