Find a place
An empty space
With no one near
Or media in ear
Purge mind of chatter
Bid adieu to Mad Hatter
Dump dissonant din
Embedded within
Take personal license
To gorge on the silence
Welcome closest of kin
Nature back in
Its melody sweet
Laid at your feet
Your soul to renew
As fresh morning dew

This is a wonderful reminder that was is priceless is all around is and is ours for the taking. Thank you for sharing Sandy. 🌹💐

Goodness, love this sooooo much. I am in a cabin in the woods right now and have been here 3 days. Nature is so refreshing.

Thank you. Solitude and silence can be scarce commodities, yet are so beneficial, I think.

I really relate to this too – quiet inside and out.

And getting more difficult to realize all the time, it seems.

That is sadly true.

This is one of the best descriptions of stopping to smell the roses. We tend to be over-connected sometimes. I couldn’t help notice that the little, carved wooden ‘car’ is back with its kin 🙂 I really enjoy your writing style.

Yes, I think we all need to find solitude from time to time to disconnect from our gadgets and recharge our souls for a change.
Thanks so much for taking time to comment!
