In Search Of The Perfect Woman

He could have sworn he saw her there
A vision of beauty fine and fair

He could have sworn he saw her there
Curvaceous body and flaxen hair

He could have sworn he saw her there
He stole a glance, he didn’t stare

He could have sworn her saw her there
Should he speak, did he dare?

He could have sworn he saw her there
Until she vanished into thin air

In The War Zone

They’re coming, coming for me
I must move along, I must flee

They’re coming, coming for me
I have to find a safe place to be

They’re coming, coming for me
I’m just a small child, can’t they see

They’re coming, coming for me
I only wish to be happy and free

They’re coming, coming for me
I’m begging on bended knee

They’re coming, coming for me
Can’t they just let us be

Practice Makes Perfect

The rising sun
Aligned just right
Radiated through
The bare tree branches

Illuminating the cool morning mist
With an amber glow
As it lifted slowly
From the expanse of meadow

While a passing cloud
Lazily draped itself
Atop the lone tree

A fitting final touch
To a masterful composition

Satisfied at last with Her work
Mother Nature moved on
To Her next blank canvas

Behind The Balloons

Let a smile be your umbrella
That’s what they always say
Keep your true feelings
Neatly tucked away

Let a smile be your umbrella
That’s what they always say
Give everyone around you
A much brighter day

Let a smile be your umbrella
That’s what they always say
Let others think your persona
Is upbeat, bright and gay

Let a smile be your umbrella
That’s what they always say
The price for pent up emotions
Eventually to pay
