Great shot and poem, Sandy! 🙂 Not a Jay ever seen in our area. Not many regular Blue Jays here either, as a lot of them got hit bad by the West Nile virus (which they are very susceptible to).

So I am curious if you have a powerful zoom on your camera or do you get crazy close to these birds you capture? This is another amazing picture and poem!

My ‘go to’ lens is an all-in-one 16-300mm. That allows me to get pretty good images of birds most of the time. There are still many that end up being out of range.
