Beautiful picture and I love the poem. Where I live we have a sub-tropical climate, which means that we don’t really experience autumn or spring. Our summers are very hot and the winters are mild (except when you are old – then anything below 20°C is too cold for comfort). We have flowers throughout the year and our coastal growth is dense and evergreen. This is not the case in the rest of the country though; South Africa is a land of great contrasts.
Thanks, Hester! Having green throughout the year would be nice, but I must admit I really enjoy the change of seasons here in the Midwest. Seeing the landscape go dormant in the winter and then wake up again in spring never gets old!
Yes! Spring is finally ……finally…starting up here in the great white north. This poem reflects precisely my sentiments. My spirits are beginning to lift.

Lovely composition, like a ballet. I love seeing this in monochrome, the light and contrast are fabulous!

Thanks. The monochrome was much more pleasing than the color version, I thought.

I’m glad to hear spring is at last making an appearance, Anne. It has been a very long wait this year.

I do too. It is much more interesting in monochrome, I think.
