Drawn to this place
She knew not
Why
Guided by tides
And moonlit
Skies
Up the beach
She trudged with
Sighs
In quest of a place
Her eggs to
Hide
Digging away till
Dawn was
Nigh
At last secured
Her eggs did
Lie
Her fate fulfilled
Before she
Died
Back into the ocean
She did
Glide

What a lovely portrayal of the birthing habits of this majestic creature!
