A neighbour of mine collects feathers that she finds along the way and puts them on her screen door. She believes they ward away the enemy and negative energy.

Our pet parrot, Tweetie, when she was very young, saw a hawk on TV and totally — i mean totally — went berserk. Since she was bred in captivity, it was not a learned response. Now that she watches TV a lot and is TV savvy, when she sees an eagle or a hawk on the screen, she thinks nothing of it. 🙂
