Beautiful Sandy. I live in Arizona a place where with a little rain the desert blooms profusely. Cacti of so many varieties and blossom. Oh the colors, colors that you would never imagine in a desert. Your verse is a wonderful description of life in the desert. Thank you for sharing.
I would love to see that true desert bloom sometime. We have just a few cacti in pots, but I do enjoy those delicate blooms in the summer that last such a short time.
Late March, early April are the best times to visit. It is still cool and if the rains have come you will find it absolutely beautiful. Your camera will get a workout.
