A Sunday Afternoon To Treasure

crease of blue cracks through
predominantly grey skies
ice still holds its grip
crescendo of honks
washes across entire flock
silencing all else
thousands of wings beat
snow geese erupt into flight
heart palpitations

    • That is an apt word…it was truly magical. We listened and watched the geese for some time. They stretched across the lake for what seemed a mile. I’m not equipped with a proper wide angle lens to do them true justice.
