We have hummingbirds that visited all summer long. Once they got use to us they would fly by and stop to drink even as we sat outside. A few times they dropped down in front of us as though to say ‘hey thanks for the food.’ It was amazing. Am looking forward to it for next year.
We see hummers at our feeders just when they migrate through in spring and fall. Yes, they do get used to humans nearby. They are so much fun to watch! Thanks for commenting!

Years ago, my neighbor had a hummingbird feeder and I always enjoyed their flight path into my space. I could watch them for hours. 🙂

They stayed for almost a month this year. We did spend hours and hours watching them. Such a treat!

Interesting. They seem to know when to head out. Ours disappeared right before the temperature plummeted.
