Always surprises me how I am tempting to touch one of these even though I know how incredibly sharp the needles are. The points are so fine as to almost appear pine needles (and not so painful).
Wicked looking spikes. We have some small cacti growing wild at the end of our property — not somewhere you want to be walking around in flip-flops as I have discovered.

Yes, they can be deceiving, but are as sharp as razor blades.
